Chic Apartment Decor on a Budget

I visited my sister Ashley in Chicago last month and today I am going to take you on a tour of her apartment. I adore her style! Her apartment decor is mostly neutral and I love how she mixes styles, giving it an eclectic feel.  Her apartment is a great example of being able to find beautiful pieces and decorate on a budget. Also, if she ever moves or wants to bring in more color with accessories these furniture pieces create a great base to build from.

One of my favorite things about her apartment is the floor to ceiling windows. At night it is magical as you look out and see the Chicago skyline.

My philosophy is that your home should reflect the things that make you happy.  I think this beautiful bowl on her coffee table filled with polaroids is such a fun touch!  Wouldn’t this make for a great conversation piece?

This tall upholstered bed may have been the best find in her apartment. When looking for an upholstered bed on a budget fabric options are limited, and she found one with a beautiful, durable fabric.

The vintage Kodak camera on the right was my Grandma’s. I love how she styled it on her dresser!
