This year my kids really wanted to decorate our house for Halloween, so I went all out with chic halloween decor that is easy to put together and affordable. In years past we haven’t really decorated the inside of our home for Halloween, but the last two years we decorated the exterior of our home with spiderwebs and huge spiders as shown in this blog post.
This was really fun to put together this year and the boys loved being part of it, too!
Halloween Decor Ideas for your Entryway
First we started in our entryway by adding olive branches to a large temple jar. The olive branches are a little pricey, but they look so realistic and are so full. I only needed 3 too fill the temple jar. Then I attached a fake black raven for an extra touch of spooky. A big black candle (20% off with code: KATE) and a gold skull on top of some books finished off the look.

Fireplace Halloween Decor
The easiest and most affordable Halloween decorations are these spider webs. You can drape them anywhere and they are by far the kids most favorite Halloween decoration. We use command hooks to attach them to the fireplace. The boys also enjoy placing these black Halloween bats on the mirror. These two ideas are easy, affordable, and create that chic Halloween decor look that transforms your fireplace into a spooky focal point!

Adding Halloween Decor to your Built-ins
In our bookshelves all I did was add some black ravens, black coffee table books, and printed of Halloween themed photos and placed them in our gold gallery frames. I just googled things like “vintage photo of women in witch costumes” or “Frank Sinatra masquerade ball” to find fun Halloween images. These images were a simple and free way to add chic Halloween decor to our bookshelves.

Halloween Decor in the Kitchen
In the kitchen I kept it simple and added a small vintage bronze skull I found on etsy to the tray next to my stove. Next year I would like to add a small white pumpkin to our kitchen, or a bowl of them on our dining table.
