Grilled Gorgonzola Burgers | The Renovated Acre

<> <> <>

Hi guys! Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.  I am in no way a chef, but I do enjoy making meals for my family.  Today I want to share a recipe that we make frequently for lunches on the weekend. We enjoy grilling in the summer and these burgers are so delicious and easy to make.  Enjoy!

Grilled Gorgonzola Burgers | The Renovated Acre

|  Triple Dish Serving Piece: Nora Fleming c/o  |  Lemon Mini: Nora Fleming c/o (not released yet)  |  Classic Spreader: Julia Knight  | Classic Cocktail Fork: Julia Knight  | Napkins: Anthropologie  |  Dishes: Juliska Berry & Thread  |  Placemats: IKEA  |  Beer Glasses: Pottery Barn, similar  |

Ingredients:
1.5 lb. ground beef (I like to use 85/15 organic ground beef)
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
8 oz. gorgonzola cheese wedge, crumbled
kosher salt
freshly ground black pepper

For Serving:
Hamburger buns, lightly grilled
Red Onion slices
Pickle slices
Iceberg Lettuce slices

Directions:
Form hamburger patties and sprinkle salt and pepper on both sides. Grill hamburger patties at 400-450 degrees for about 8 minutes a side (or to your preference… I like mine medium well for hamburgers). While burgers are grilling get the rest of your condiments ready and mix the cream cheese and gorgonzola crumbles together, set aside.  When burgers are done, slice the hamburger buns and grill the insides for a couple minutes until there are light grill marks.  I think this gives the buns a light crunch and it’s easier to spread the gorgonzola mixture onto the buns.  Remove the buns and set aside.  Place burger patty on the bottom bun and spread gorgonzola mixture on the top half of the bun. Top with red onion, pickles, and iceberg lettuce. Enjoy!

Suggested side dishes:
Roasted Oven Fries (or)
Roasted Sweet Potato Fries
Roasted Broccoli Florets
