This week I am so excited to share our kitchen with you! It is the first room I am sharing on the blog because it is my most favorite space and the place where I feel most inspired. I enjoy making meals for my family in our kitchen and with three boys to feed I am in there quite a bit!
When we first purchased our home in 2010 the kitchen was in its original state from 1955. If you have ever been inside a house from the 1950’s, you would notice how closed off the rooms are. To enter the kitchen you had to walk through pocket doors and to make it feel even more closed off there were 8 foot ceilings with three ceiling fans in there! Talk about low ceilings.. that did not go well for my 6’4″ husband :). During our renovation in 2011 we had two goals. First, to make the kitchen feel more open and second, to make it as efficient and functional as possible knowing we had limited space. I think we accomplished both goals and I am happy to say there is not an inch of wasted space in this kitchen!

And last but not least… these kitchen organizers are amazing! There are several different styles to choose from on the Custom Inserts website. You order the organizer online by sending in the measurements of your drawer and they send you back an organizer that fits perfectly and no space is wasted. Acrylic is so easy to clean, too, and looks beautiful!
