Master Bathroom | The Renovated Acre

<> <> <>

It has been a couple of weeks since I have shared a renovated room in our house so this week I am going to share our master bathroom.  Our master bathroom remodel was quite the project.  When we bought our house in 2010, the bathroom still had the original 1950’s teal and peach tile and the toilet was in the middle of the bathroom.  We completely gutted and remodeled this bathroom in 2011 and I still love all of the design choices we made.  To make the most efficient use of our master bath we had to change the floor plan a little bit to add a separate space for the toilet.  Luckily the powder bathroom is right next to this one so we took a little square footage from it to have the toilet be in a separate area and make our master bathroom more functional.  I love how it turned out!

Since our bathroom is a smaller space I am so glad we used marble to make it feel open and bright. The marble has actually help up really well, but we are also careful with it.  Marble is temperature sensitive so I keep my curling irons in a drawer at all times and I don’t leave a cold or hot drink directly on the countertop.

|  Acrylic Makeup Organizer: Amazon  |

Ideally I would  put my makeup inside of a drawer and not have anything on the countertops but we have limited storage space in our bathroom.  This acrylic makeup organizer has been a lifesaver and is really pretty if you have to display your makeup.  I got it three years ago and it has held up very well and is easy to clean!

I hope you enjoyed our master bathroom remodel. Thank you so much for stopping by!
