It has been a couple of weeks since I have shared aΒ renovated room in our house so this weekΒ I am going to share our master bathroom. Β Our master bathroom remodel was quite the project. Β When we bought our house in 2010, the bathroom still hadΒ the originalΒ 1950’s teal and peach tile and the toilet was in the middle of the bathroom. Β We completely gutted and remodeled this bathroom in 2011 and I stillΒ love all of the design choices we made.Β Β To make the most efficient use of our master bath we had to change the floor plan a little bit to add a separate space for the toilet. Β Luckily the powder bathroom is right next to this one so we tookΒ a little square footage from it to have the toilet be in a separate area and make our master bathroomΒ more functional. Β I love how it turned out!
Before:
During Demolition:
| Β Carrara Marble Tile: The Tile Shop Β | Β Carrara Marble Countertop: Best Quality Countertops Β | Β Cabinetry: Millard Lumber Β | Β Hardware: Millard Lumber Β | Β Faucet: Kitchens & Baths by BriggsΒ (Moen)Β | Β Sink: Kitchens & Baths by Briggs (Kohler) Β Toilet: Kitchens & Baths by Briggs (Kohler) Β | Β Light Fixture: The Mine (Capital Lighting) Β | Β Shower Door: Interior Glass & MirrorΒ | Β Wall Paint Color: Β Sherwin Williams JubileeΒ |
Before:
After:
| Β Carrara Marble Tile: The Tile Shop Β | Β Handle: Kitchens & Baths by BriggsΒ (Moen) Β | Β Shower Head: Β Speakman Β |
Since our bathroom is a smaller space I am so glad we used marble to make it feel open and bright. The marbleΒ has actually help up really well, but we are also careful with it. Β Marble is temperatureΒ sensitive so I keep my curling irons in a drawer at all times and I don’t leave a cold or hot drink directly on the countertop.
| Β Hand Soap: Β William Sonoma Pink Grapefruit Β | Β Hand Towel: Anthropologie, similar here Β |
Perfume Tray: Target, similar here Β |
| Β Acrylic Makeup Organizer: Amazon Β |
Ideally I would Β put my makeup inside of a drawer and not have anything on the countertops but we have limited storage space in our bathroom. Β This acrylic makeup organizer has beenΒ a lifesaver and is reallyΒ pretty if you have to display your makeup. Β I got it three years ago and it has held up very wellΒ and is easy to clean!
