Today I am sharing all the details about my light blue home office. I can’t believe the amount of love this space has received on Instagram and Pinterest! When we were designing my office with our interior designer, Erica Bryant, she recommended a light blue paint color called Benjamin Moore Blue Heather and I instantly fell in love with it. It is a beautiful, rich blue-gray that looks so soft next to our Benjamin Moore Simply White walls. We used Pure White Quartz countertops by Caesarstone and they have proved to be durable, especially when my kids use my office for their homework or remote learning! Our floors are engineered white oak hardwoods. If you want to learn more about our flooring, click here.

Dimensions
I am often asked about the dimensions of my office, and specifically about the built-ins. These built-ins were custom designed by Erica Bryant and myself, and created by CE Smith Cabinetry here in Omaha. The dimensions of the room are approximately 14 ft x 8ft. The upper shelving runs the entire length of the wall, 8 ft. Each shelf is 12″ deep, 15″ tall, and 27″ wide.
Lighting
The brass cabinet maker lights create a focal point on the built-ins and make this room feel like a sophisticated home office. The brass finish adds warmth and that finishing touch to my light blue home office. The Kelly Wearstler Phoebe stacked lamp was gifted by Relative Lighting. I love its sculptural details and the soft gray color pairs nicely with the light blue cabinetry.
Brass Hardware
I love the brass knobs and bin pulls we selected for this space from Rejuvenation. We chose the aged brass finish.
Home Office Storage
My favorite thing about my office is that there is a place for everything. Let me walk you through it: Starting with three long drawers that we made sure were the right size for gift wrap rolls, gift sacks, tissue, ribbon, etc. Next to the drawers is a cabinet with a printer that rolls out. To the left of my desk chair are two large filing cabinet drawers that I like to store the kids school work. To the right of my desk chair from top too bottom: I have a charge drawer, a drawer for all my camera lenses and equipment, and a craft drawer at the bottom. Next there’s a a cabinet for our stationery / address stamps, and then our trash and recycle pull out.
Most of the decor in my office is from my home store, Jansen Home. I also wrote this post about how I style my shelves.

I loved your office design so much that I had a contractor replica it in my home. With a few minor changes. Now I need to start shopping to fill the shelves. Thank you for your inspiration. I send all that ask about the design to your blog. Here is the link for the office and kitchen photos. Photos can be found in The PORTOFOLIO and in Dye Place section.
