If you saw my instagram post, my fall decor was in our storage unit as of two weeks ago so I started my fall decorating a little late this year! We had moved a lot of our decor to a storage unit because we thought we would be out of our house by labor day, but our house plans are taking longer than I anticipated… so here we are! I decided to keep it simple this year and I only added fall decor to three rooms in our house. Today I am going to take you on a tour, so let’s start in our living room.
Living Room Fall Decor
I love to feel cozy in the fall so adding a knit throw blanket, a pumpkin candle, and some mini white pumpkins from Trader Joe’s make it feel like fall in our house. This pumpkin candle is one of my all time favorite candles. It just smells so good and when I burn it I am instantly excited for fall. I put our white pumpkins on a leaf tray I purchased last year, but they would also look great in a glass bowl, like this: Simon Pearce Chelsea Bowl. I added some other leaf tray ideas at the end of this post, but if you are local Voila has a couple options!
Dining Room Fall Decor
In last year’s tour I used this tray of pumpkins in our living room and this year I decided to use it as a centerpiece on our dining room table. The faux leaves and stems are from Michaels and the faux pumpkins are from Voila.
Kitchen Fall Decor
Sunflowers are so cheerful, aren’t they? It has rained nonstop here for the last week so I needed a little brightness in my kitchen. I thought this color combo was so pretty! The milk glass pitcher is from Caitlin Wilson.

Thank you for the inspiration I so badly needed! When I read your last blog post I nearly spit out my coffee as I had to read it to my husband. We are in the same exact situation. Everything in storage except for what is needed to live and keep the house staged for selling here in Fort Worth Texas. At the same time, going through the EXCRUCIATINGLY slow process of having our house plans completed by the architect and approved by the HOA in Lincoln, Nebraska where we are planning to move when the house sells here. We started this process a year ago! I was lamenting not having any decor not in storage when your post popped up. #feelyourpain

BrynneOh my gosh we are in the same exact boat! I totally feel your pain. It is so hard having everything in storage and feeling zero inspiration, and then the process for building a home is definitely not all roses 🙂 I hope the process speeds up for you! Thank you SO much for sharing, Brynne! XO
