Today I am so excited to finally show you Teddy’s finished nursery. I have been working on this blog post for what seems like forever! Having three little ones is so much busier than I thought it would be, and Teddy isn’t even moving yet, ha! Someone once told me the 0-3 month stage is the “flower pot stage” because you can set them down and you don’t have to worry about them moving. I thought that was too funny! Even though our house is a little more chaotic, at the end of the day my heart is full and I feel so blessed to be their mommy. I am also thankful I snapped these pictures before we brought Teddy home from the hospital because it looks very “lived in” nowadays ;).
Teddy is 3 months old now and is so much more alert. He gives me the biggest smiles and it melts my heart! I wanted him to have a special nursery just like his brothers did. We kept the same neutral furniture for all three nurseries but switched out the bedding, artwork, and decor pieces to make it feel like a new room for each of our boys. In Jack’s nursery I chose a very soft color palette with blues and grays, and in Harris’ nursery I chose soft blues and oranges. Since this was our third nursery I wanted to decorate it a little differently but still keep it feeling like a calm baby boy’s room. I love the preppy look his nursery has and how it all came together!
When I saw the Mirabelle rug from Serena & Lily, I knew I wanted it in Teddy’s nursery and it became the focal point of the room. Ours is the indigo color and the 5×7 size although I wish we went larger.
From there I found the cutest preppy bedding and accessories from Serena and Lily. I picked the pin dot and oxford stripe crib sheets, a navy quilt, a white and navy bumper pad, and border frame crib skirt. His bedding reminds me of a little gentleman!
I searched everywhere for a cute navy lumbar pillow and surprisingly had a difficult time finding the right one. When I saw this one I knew it was perfect. Isn’t this tassel pillow the cutest?
I found the gold and acrylic lamp and other adorable accessories at Spruce Interiors in Omaha. While I was there I met Libby of Libby Rae Studio. We got to talking and she is a very talented water color artist who used to work for Lilly Pulitzer. In all three of our nurseries I have used watercolor artwork because it is so soft looking and perfect for a baby’s room. I knew I wanted her to create Teddy’s artwork and she created the most adorable watercolor initials for the wall above his crib. She used his bedding as inspiration for the backgrounds of the initials. She did such an amazing job and I am so thrilled with how it turned out!
I wanted to add touches of brass in his nursery and found these pre-matted brass picture frames at Target. They were inexpensive and the perfect frame for this artwork. I also added a round brass mirror that I found at Target for around $50!
I loved styling his built in bookshelf and added in some teddy bear accents, of course!
One of my readers handmade the adorable crochet bear basket. I store some of Teddy’s rattles and toys in ours. It’s the perfect accessory for our Teddy’s nursery and I just love it!
The square baskets, white elephant, and blue picture frame are all from Spruce Interiors as well. I linked some similar looks below.
I hope you enjoyed Teddy’s nursery reveal. Thank you so much for stopping by today!
