Hi guys! I wanted to keep you in the loop on some exciting news with our family! I haven’t been on here as much over the last month mainly due to two reasons. If you follow me on Instagram, sorry if this first part is redundant!
TEDDY
First, our son Teddy surprised us all and was born 6 weeks early on February 6th. My water broke around 33 weeks and I had to be in the hospital on bedrest for a few days until Teddy was 34 weeks old and could be delivered. I was actually due this past week on March 20th! Teddy spent two and a half weeks in the NICU (which felt more like two months) and I am happy to report he is healthy and home with us. We all love him so much and Jack and Harris are thrilled to have a little brother! Jack keeps asking me if Teddy is crawling yet so I can tell they are itching to play with him 🙂 Here are some pictures from his newborn photo session. Isn’t he precious?! I have already shared a peek of his nursery on Instagram but I am working on a blog post to show you all the details of his nursery. It is my favorite room in our home!

PLANNING OUR NEW HOUSE
You may have noticed I have been doing polls on my Instagram stories to get your feedback on home design ideas. Well, we have outgrown our current home and I am very excited to tell you that we are in the planning stage of building our forever home right here on our same lot! My husband Ben and I have been dreaming of doing this for awhile now and have been very involved in the process so far. I have so many ideas for our house and Ben has even helped redraw the floor plan himself! We have been inspired by so many homes and builders on Instagram and I can’t wait to share some of our inspirations with you. We initially met with our builders back in November and have been working on our floor plan since then. Right now it is close to being finalized. We have tweaked it several times to make sure it fits our family’s lifestyle to a T! Once it is final the next step is to see 3D renderings of the interior and an exterior elevation. That’s when things are going to get fun and I cannot wait to see those! I will be posting updates on my Instagram mostly, but will also be posting here on my blog, too.
Life has been pretty crazy over the last two months with a newborn and planning our new home, so I wanted to make sure you guys know whats been going on! I can’t wait to share more details and this entire experience with you. If you have any questions or want me to touch on any particular topics related to building a home, please let me know in the comments below!
